Hi!  I’m Niki Whittle, the author of Style studs and lace and a British Personal Stylist from Bristol, England, living in the USA with my husband, Alex, and our rescue dog, Olive.  Most days you’ll find me styling clients from all over the world from my home office in South Carolina, with a strong cup of Yorkshire Tea in front of me and Olive curled up to my side.

I’ve been running my Personal Styling business for 10 years and offer Closet Consultations, Personal Shopping and Online Styling.  6 years ago, my husband and I moved from the UK to Bangalore in India where we lived and traveled for 3 years before relocating once again, to the USA.  I have continued to grow and develop my styling business, combining the cultural experiences and inspirations I discovered while living and traveling across the world, with my wealth of knowledge and style experience.

I offer a unique approach to personal style as I do not believe in restricting my clients by labeling them or confining them to particular style type or season.  I prefer to provide them with the knowledge, guidance and imagination to create a personal style that is unique to them, that aligns with, not only their shape and their lifestyle, but also with their interests and passions.

Style Studs and Lace is a space for me to share my skills and knowledge and provide genuine styling tips and down to earth shopping advice that gives my readers the ability and the courage to craft an authentic personal style that suits and flatters their shape, maximizes their closet and budget, and inspires them to further develop their style.

I cover 5 main topics and posts once  a week:

  1. Simple Style Solutions
  2. Three Ways to Wear
  3. Closet and Wardrobe Maintenance
  4. Shopping advice
  5. Dressing to suit your body shape

If there’s a topic you’d like her me cover let me know, or you have a style question you’d like me to answer, let me know!

I am occasionally offered an opportunity to work with brands to promote their items (I’ve previously worked with JORD watches, Joules and Ted and Muffy) but rest assured that this in no way reduces my independence or dedication to providing honest, impartial advice as I will ONLY work with or accept brands and their items that I, myself, would purchase or that I would recommend to my clients. You can find out more about these collaborations as well as the affiliate marketing that I also participate in, on my Disclosure page.

If you’re a brand and you think your brand fits in line with Style Studs and Lace’s aesthetic and beliefs, then I’d love to hear from you!  And if you would like to hire me as your personal stylist, either in person or online, please email me here or visit my Personal Styling Website.

Take a look around and if you have any questions or style problems you want help with, just ask!
